REMOTE EXPERIENCES

*Our remote expeditions, with the exception of the Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek, are offered on request rather than as fixed departures. These journeys take place in some of Nepal's most isolated regions and require careful planning, logistics, and preparation to ensure a safe and rewarding experience.
Because of their demanding nature, these adventures are best suited to trekkers with prior experience at high altitude or on extended wilderness journeys, such as multi day camping, thru hiking, or hut to hut trekking. A high level of physical fitness, self sufficiency, and a willingness to embrace remote conditions are essential.
If you are interested in any of these expeditions, we would be delighted to discuss your previous experience, goals, and expectations. Together, we will determine the most suitable itinerary and carefully plan every aspect of the journey to ensure it is both enjoyable and responsibly undertaken.

  • Style: Tea House

    A remote adventure of North-Eastern Himalayas to the North and South Base Camp of Mt. Kanchenjunga. This true off-the-beaten path experience is for expereinced trekkers with preferrable previous experience of thru-hiking or high altitude multi-day trekking.

  • Style: Teahouse or Camping (as preferred)

    Journey to the basecamp of Mt. Makalu (5th Highest Mountain in the world) through remote Barun Valley of Eastern Himalayas passing through ethnic Rai, Limbu, Magar, Gurung, Tamang and Sherpa villages. A complete off-the-grid and disconnected adventure.

  • Style: Wilderness Camping only

    A journey to the heart of Central Himalayas where it stil requires wilderness camping to reach the beautiful Base Camp of Mt. Jugal. One of the nearest trek to start from Kathmandu yet provides one of the most remote experience.

  • We recently completed the Kanchenjunga North and South trekking circuit with Kiran. Let me begin by stating for the record that he is an all around gem...of a guide and a human being. From our early planning stages to facilitating car service to our hotel after our flight back to KTM...and during every step in between...he impressed us with his easy going competency and good humor. Deep into the trek he was truly tested as our group dealt him issues (medical/illness) that he handled with the utmost confidence and grace. While masterfully facilitating a helicopter med-evac from a remote village he also did everything with in his power to keep the other group members comfortable and engaged. Furthermore, his ability and willingness to respectfully immerse us into the rich culture of the people/communities of the Kanchenjunga area was astounding.
