Fixed Departure FAQs
What is the minimum group size?
Our fixed departures require a minimum of 2 trekkers to operate. If only one traveller registers for a particular departure, we'll discuss the available options with you.
How many trekkers can join a departure?
Group size varies by journey, but our fixed departures are intentionally kept small. The maximum group size is shown with each journey.
Can I join a departure as a solo traveller?
Yes. You can register as a solo traveller, but the departure must reach its minimum of two trekkers before it can operate.
What happens if the minimum group size is not reached?
We'll contact you well in advance and discuss the available alternatives, including another departure date or a private arrangement.
Are the dates guaranteed?
A departure is confirmed once the minimum group size and necessary arrangements are secured. We recommend checking the current departure status before making non-refundable travel arrangements.
Can I join with my friends?
Absolutely. You can join an existing departure together, subject to available places and the maximum group size.
Can I choose my own departure date?
Yes. If none of the scheduled dates work for you, we can arrange a private journey around your preferred dates, subject to availability and the requirements of the trek.
Can the itinerary change during the trek?
Mountain conditions can sometimes require changes to the planned itinerary. Weather, trail conditions, acclimatisation, health, and group needs may all be considered when making decisions on the trail.
What happens if I need to extend or leave the trek early?
Additional arrangements or extensions may incur additional costs. If a traveller leaves the journey early due to personal circumstances, health, or other reasons, refunds are subject to the Booking Terms & Conditions.
